Living in Joshua, TX: What to Know Before You Move

Sooo… thinking about Joshua? 👀 Tucked right between Burleson and Cleburne in Johnson County, Joshua has that small-town feel with easy access to Fort Worth, and it's growing fast. As a lifelong Johnson County girl, here's what I'd tell a friend who's thinking about moving here. 💕

Where is Joshua?
Joshua sits along Highway 174, just south of Burleson and north of Cleburne. You get quiet neighborhoods and room to breathe, and Fort Worth is close enough for work, shopping, or a night out. Honestly, that location is one of my favorite things about it! 🙌

The small-town feel
Joshua still feels like a place where people know each other. Friday night football, local events, and hometown pride are a big part of life here. And the downtown areas around Johnson County are just so quaint and charming ✨

My favorite local spots 💕
- La Mesa Mesquite Grill in downtown Joshua: my go-to Mexican food, and a must when you're in town! 🌮
- Joshua City Park and Splash Pad: such a fantastic park, especially on a hot Texas summer day with the kiddos ☀️

New construction everywhere 🏡
If you love the idea of a brand new home, Joshua is a great place to look. One of my favorites is Sandlin Homes in the Joshua Meadows subdivision. Builders often offer incentives too, and that's where I love to step in and negotiate! ✨

Homes and prices
Joshua has a mix of established homes on bigger lots, newer subdivisions, and properties with a little land. Right now, homes typically range from about $200,000 to $2.5M. Prices change fast, so message me for up-to-date numbers.

Schools
Joshua is served by Joshua ISD, and a lot of Johnson County schools are now on a four-day week with Fridays off. Some families love the extra family day! I always encourage parents to visit campuses and check the district's website so you can find what fits your family best.
